Set up in 1993 as a lighting store in downtown Helsinki, Valotaina Ltd is now a company specialized in product marketing. It operates mainly in the medical devices and the consumer goods sectors.

In 2001, Valotaina successfully entered the Finnish food market after launching the first brand of low salt table olive, Päivänsäde. Other table olives, olive oil, coffee and gazpacho now complete Valotaina's range of imported Spanish food produces.
